Posted Apr 30/12 - Senior Night 2012

With alot riding on this game our five seniors would make this the most exciting game ever played at Wheatmore High School. A win would make it a three way tie with Randleman and Trinty and a loss would be third place. Playing in front of one of the largest crowd of the year, Randleman struck first but the lady warriors would not stop. Candice Lockhart battled her way through the tigers den and found her way to the goal and tying the score 1-1.  In the second half, Randleman had a cross off the left side which found an attacking tiger player on the back post making it 2-1.  Mid way through the second, Emliy Brown was able to find the net after a hugh rush of warrior players colided on the net making it 2-2. At the end regulation the score would stand at 2-2. In the first overtime period the lady warriors would out shoot the tiger 3-1 but could not finish. Final in the second overtime period, Wheatmore would give Randleman everything it had by pushing more people forward. With less than 30 second left in the game, the lady warriors would get a break away and then a corner which would all come up short. Making the final score 2-2 and the hopes of a conference title gone. This loss would not be the lack of effort, it would be the greatest effort of all times.
