Posted Apr 23/12 - Game 5 Triangle at home

Looking to keep the momentumand the home winning streak alive, the Blue Jays took on the Triangles (?). The pace of the game was fairly slow with spotty pitching making for long innings, which is no excuse for lack of focus and determination in the field. Zeke Holt was a bright spot for the Jays with his fielding and bat. Tanner Gilbert made his debut on the mound and did well! Jays lose 9-5.

Posted Apr 23/12 - Game 4 @ Luxton
It was a great afternoon for baseball. After a shakey first inning, Matt was able to find the umpires strike zone and settle in for a couple of good innings. Brandon threw well as did Jamie, coming in as our closer.  The bats were making contact, but managed to hit their fielders most of the time. Credit to Triangle's players for making plays. We were on teh come back trail, but were thwarted by the umpires strike zone again. Hopefully we learn to foul off those close pitches. All in all a decent effort in a losing casue. Jays lose 11-8.

Lambrick Park seems to be a good place for the Blue Jays as they successfully defended their home turf. Excellent pitching from Kieran Waters and Kevin Wong as well as a solid defensive effort kept Layritz to only 3 runs.  Some timely hitting allowed the Jays to score 5 runs in the third, which was enough to win the game. Brandon Goodwin lead the offensive charge with two hits and steal of home from second base! Jays WIN 5-3!

Posted Apr 16/12 - Game 2 Summary
In our second game Lambrick travelled to Carnarvon where they played a very good Carnarvon team. Lambrick started off with Brandon Goodwin on the mound who threw well for his first outing of the season. Evan Smith came in and threw two innings of excellent relief to keep the game close. However, like the first game a lack of defense and the inability of pitchers to throw timely strikes lead to a 22-11 defeat. On the positive side the Blue Jays bats woke up and we started to get hits and generate runs. Definitely an improvement over game 1, but a long way to go.

Posted Apr 11/12 - Game 1 Summary

Matt Dayton threw 33 pitches in two innings of work and only allowed 1 run. The game wasa tied 4-4 when teh wheels fell off the bus. Errors on defense, walks and lack of hitting hurt us in the final innings. Kieran Waters had the teams only legitimate hit.
