The 7th grade Red team won the WYBL championship on Sunday. They won games against Burlington, West Allis Central, Pewaukee and finally, Eisenhower for an exciting win in overtime. 7 Red also secured the spot of league champs with a 15-1 record in league play. |

The 6th grade boys Jr Chargers Black started the day with a tough loss to Elkhorn. However, they rallied and won 3 straight against Greenfield, Waukesha North and West Allis Hale. And in typical March Madness style, two of those 3 came down to the final seconds. They ended their season as the Consolation Champs! Please be sure to congratulate this group of fine athletes and coaches! This team has improved all season long and their hard work paid off! |

The 7th grade Red team took the championship title at Appleton yesterday. They played Appleton East, Green Bay Notre Dame, New Berlin Eisenhower, Appleton North, and Appleton East (again), for the championship.

The 5th Grade Boys red team went up to Oshkosh and won the Oshkosh West Basketball Club 5th grade tournament, beating teams from the Oshkosh area before losing a tough one against Fond du Lac.The red team won the championship due to the tie-breaker. The tie breaker was based on least number of points allowed- Jr. Chargers great defense was the difference. Way to play, Jr. Chargers. |

The 5th grade boys red team won the 17th Annual Oostburg Tournament defeating the home team and Sheboygan South in pool play and in the final brackets, defeating Howards Grove in the semi-final and Sheboygan North in the finals. Great competition in this tournament, tough defense, good shooting, timely free throws, and improved rebounded got the Jr. Chargers the trophy! | Congratulations to the 4th Grade White team on their successful season! Hats off to all the players and coaches. The 4th grade Jr Chargers "White" team ended their season on a high - winning the 4th grade WYBL "end of the season" tournament. The team defeated New Berlin West, Germantown, Westosha Central and a tough Waukesha Knights team to bring home a 1st place trophy. The boys had a very successful year - - they went 14-2 in WYBL league and won 2 other tournaments along the way. Congratulations!!!! Congratulations to the 5th Grade Hamilton Jr. Chargers Red team on winning the 9th annual "Hoopfest Tournament" on Saturday, February 5, 2011. The Jr. Chargers were in a very tough bracket and beat 2 very good teams from Oak Creek and Whitefish Bay to make it to the Championship game. The Jr. Chargers played excellent team defense and distributed the ball extremely well on offense, took control of rebounding both offensively and defensively and shot 49% from the field for the day. In the Championship Game, the Jr. Chargers Red team faced off against the very talented Jr. Chargers White team. This game show cased both teams playing great defense, rebounding, shooting and excellent sportsmanship. Hats off to our 4th Grade Red Team! They have done it again! Congratulations players and coaches! The 4thgrade boys red team had another successful tournament experience at Appleton Xavier on Saturday, February 26th! The 4th Grade Junior Chargers picked up their 6th tournament championship this year defeating tough teams from Freedom, Fond du Lac, Kimberly, and in the finals, Waupaca. Team defense, rebounding, and using the new basketball skills learned during this year were important in winning the championship. The boys went 14-2 in league play to win their second title and in two years. Congratulations to the 7th Grade Jr. Chargers White Team for winning the Oconomowoc Cooney Classic Basketball tournament this past weekend. The Jr. Chargers went 3-0 in the tournament and played excellent team basketball on both ends of the court. They beat Whitnall in a close first game and took care of Waukesha West in the second game. In a well played championship game, the Jr. Chargers beat a tough Union Grove team to take home the title.

The Fourth grade boys red team is Five for Five in Fourth Grade Basketball Tournament championships this year! This past Saturday, January 29th in Cambria, at Cambria-Friesland High School, the boys beat a tough team from basketball hotbed Randolph, won one against a good Green Lake team, finishing off with a victory over Markesan. The Junior Chargers played two of their best halves of basketball this year, strong team defense, excellent passing and teamwork, along with Charger team spirit was the difference. |

The 8th grade Red Junior Chargers traveled to Wisconsin Dells this past winter weekend for the "Just A Game" basketball tournament. After facing a tough loss to Sun Prairie on Saturday, the 8th grade Red Junior Chargers lead by Michael Barnes, scoring 11 points, fought back and defeated Arrowhead in a battle to the end. Finally, coming together as a team against Centennial in the championship game, with a well rounded scoring attack from the whole team, the Junior Chargers were able to take home the Championship Trophy! Congratulations to Michael Barnes, Josh DeSorcy, Jake Cieslik, Nathan Rouse, CJ Leffingwell, Ben Brown, Bennett Gilsinger, Trevor Wesline, Tommy Hickey, and Matt Buehler. The team is coached by Josh King and Chap Leffingwell. |

In the championship game the Jr. Chargers came from behind in the second half and hung on for a three point victory to take home the title. |

The 8th grade boys red team competed in the Wisconsin State invitaional tournament March 27th & 28th in Stevens Point in the large division. The top 32 teams from the state had high hopes to beat back to back state champs Appleton West. The Chargers started Saturday morning with a tough first round loss to Appleton North, but the team battled back to beat De Pere and Pulaski in pool play to finish 2nd to move them into the round of the top 16. Next up was Franklin who wouldn't give up, but several late free throws moved the team into the top 8. Sunday morning started with an early game against Mukwonago where the boys stayed in control moving them into the final four against Arrowhead. The Chargers lead for the entire game and Arrowhead came close to tying the game late, but the boys held them off to move them into the Championship game. The final 8th grade game for this team was against Brookfield Central. The Chargers kept the lead through the first half of this game, but came up short in the end. Congratulations boys on the best finish ever by a Jr. Chargers team in this tournament. You should be proud of your hard work this season and the past four years. |

The Jr. Charger 6th grade girls capped a 36-6 season with an exciting run to third place in the 36 team Large School Division of the Wisconsin State Invitational Championships held February 27th and 28th in Merrill/Wausau. After going 3-0 in pool play the undersized “Cardiac Chargers” became fan favorites with a one point win over Hortonville in the Sweet Sixteen and overtime victory against Kimberly in the Elite Eight. After struggling against defending 2009 and eventual 2010 State Champion, Oshkosh West, in the semi-finals, the Chargers triumphed in the 3rd place playoff with another last second one point win over Franklin. Congratulations ladies! |

The team beat Neenah White, Hortonville & Green Bay Preble on Saturday to move them into the championship bracket. On Sunday, they defeated Green Bay Southwest, Oshkosh North (in overtime) and the tournament hosts Neenah Red.

The 8th grade boys Jr. Charger team took 1st place in the Lodi Sports & Rec Tournament December 12th/13th. The team was defeated by Lodi in their opening game, but battled back to beat Pewaukee, Appleton Xavier, Appleton North and finally defeated Kettle Moraine in the championship game. Members of the team include Brett Buehler, Tom Diehl, Brady Ellingson, Mitch Geszvain, Bret Harvestine, Austin Kendziorski, Dan Lunowa, Drew Patterson, Tyler Surma and Ryan Warzon. The Boys 5th grade red won the Grizz Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend 11/28. The team celebrated by attending a game the following day at Carroll University. The boys were the guest of Coach Buchnan and were invited to sit in on the pre & post game speech. Congratulations!
