At long last our new scorekeeping, schedule & statistics system upgrade is complete. Be sure to give Edna a high five for the many long hours she put into the project. The new sytem is proivided by "Pointstreak Technologies", a leader in sports record keeping systems. Use the "Statistics" button on the left to visit our new statistics page. Note that you can now watch games at Citizen Field scored live online!

| The level 2 umpires clinic scheduled for Saturday June 4, has been cancelled for lack of interest. It will be resceduled if an interest is expressed. |

PGSBL & the BCBUA will be providing a level 2 umpires clinic Saturday June 4. Running from 9:00 - 12:00 & 1:00 - 4:00 at Citizen Feild. Pre-registration is required. Use the "Registration" button in the left column to sign up. Cost is $50 & includes you BCBUA membership fee (clinic, insurance, rule books....) |

The PGSBL is proud to support PGSS's baseball program by providing access to Prince George Citizen Field. The program, in its 2nd year of operation, is the brain child of our very own Joe Flavel a teacher at PGSS. They will be practicing Tuesday - Thursday, 7:30am - 8:30am. |

Prince George Youth Baseball is providing a level 1 clinic May 24 & 26 from 6:30 - 9:00 at Volunteer Park. Cost is $25 and includes your BCBUA membership fees and manuals. |

| Posted May 9/11 - Opening Day Postponed |
The PGSBL executive was advised today that opening day would need to be delayed for at least a week. The short series that was to kick off the season has been cancelled. Opening day is now scheduled for Tuesday May 17th, but is dependent on the new sod. |
| Posted May 4/11 - Practices at Citizen Field |
There is a great deal of concern for the health of both the new and existing turf at the field. It is extremely important that the field be in world class condition for the World Baseball Challenge in July. If you can practice at another facility, please do so. If you have to use Citizen, please be sure to advise Adam first so we can try to control the field pressure. Additionally, pitching and hitting protection is a must, absolutely no exceptions! |

Adam Norn, PGSBL President anounced ealier today that opeing day will be Wednesday May 11 weather and the new sod permitting. A short series is planned that will run through Saturday May 14. |

PGYBA will be offering a level 1 umpire's clinic at Volunteer Park in late April. PGSBL will offer the level 2 clinic at Citizen Field in early May. Both umpire's clinics by BCBUA instructors. A scorekeeping clinic is also planned, details to follow. |

The City of Prince George will be replacing the surface of Rotary Field in the spring. In support of the PGYBA's programs and the 2011 World Baseball Challenge. PGYBA and WBC will be working together to see the mound, plate and bullpen areas completed with the shale over clay brick system. |

The bid to host the 2012 Baseball Canada Senior Nationals was successful. Congratulations to Virginia Sprangers, and the whole bid committee. Jim Swanson and Lance Brommeland accept appointments as co-chairs of the host committee. |
