Great job to the Waukesha Knights Basketball Club for having a great season. The Knights went 29-6 this season playing up in a couple 8th grade tournaments. Not bad for a 1st year club team.

Posted Feb 19/11 - Knights in Freedom 8th grade tournament

Knights went 2-1 @Freedom 8th grade tournament in Freedom, WI. Knights played their first game against Appleton East which stayed close the first half. In the second half Knights press and foot speed was just to much for East in the end beating them 38- 30. Knights second game was against Seymour a solid team with a 6'4 dominate big man. Knights struggled in the first half but kept the game close. In the second half Knights got it together by doubling down on the big man and causing him to have numerous turnovers in which Knights captialized on by getting out on the break and the scoring. The Knights got a comfortable lead and never looked back beating Appleton East 51- 40. Knights third game was a all out brawl against Preble. With either team not able to pull away Knights played to the final seconds in which Preble threw a hail mary to win the game with no time on the clock to win the game 34-32. Good job to Knights for taking care of business in the 8th grade division.

Knights played in the Badger Red Classic in Verona, WI going 2- 1. Knight played Muskego, Waunakee, and Sheyboygan South three teams that they have beaten in previous tournaments. Knights started the day playing Muskego a very good shooting team. Muskego outside shooting kept them close the first, but just couldn't overcome tugh Shehe aggressive full court press in the second half. Knights managed to pull away and won 42- 34. In the second game Knights played Waunakee which thier 3-point shooting kept them close also in the 1st half. The second half Knights inside presence was to much for Waunakee. Knights got out on a 20 point lead, but Waunakee did not give up. With 7 3-pointers Waunakee manage to close the gap to 5 points in the final minutes. Knights with solid defense managed to hold Waunakee off and beat them 51- 46. Knights played a tough Sheybogan South in their third game. After beating them in our first match up both teams looked foward to this rematch knowing that it was going to be a all out dog fight. The first half was just as expected with both teams battling going back and fourth scoring. The second half Sheybogan's big man was just to much for us. With the Knights playing with only 7 players and our big man not able to play the second half from the flu Sheboygan took full advantage of us beating us 51- 34.

Posted Jan 30/11 - Knights 1st place in Juneau Hoops Tournament

After a couple of 3nd place victories Knights managed to get things back on track to pull of a 1st place in Juneau Hoops Tournamengt. Knights played Columbus to start the pool play off beating them 56-18. Knights second pool game was against Cambria winning that game 59 -14. Knights advanced to the championship game where they played Oshkosh West beating them 39-22 for 1st place. Knights are now 25- 4 in tournament play.

Knights attended Brandon Jennings Invite. Top High School teams and ESPN top 100 players in the nation where in attendance like J.P Toykoto and #1 Austin River. Great experience for the boys to see what it takes to get to that next level.

Knights parents and players would like to send a special get well to Knights guard Jake Hall. Jake suffered a foot injury and will miss the remaining season. GET WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted Jan 18/11 - Knights 3rd place in Waunakee Tournament

Knights take another 3rd place victory in the Waunakee tournament. Knights started off sluggish in the first game, but managed to pull off a victory beating Mt. Horeb 43-23. In the second game Knights plated a very smart Saulk Prairie team. Knights kept the game close going into the half tied 21- 21. The second half Knight fell apart and ended up losing 44- 32. Knights played Waunakee for 3rd place. After losing a tough game Knights came out aggressive winning that game 53- 18. Knights are now 22- 4 in tournament play.

Knights played up in 8th grade division in Union Grove going 4- 1 and taking 3rd place. Knights started off hot in 1st half against St. Joe's Kenosha who hasn't lost in two years, but couldn't contain the 6'4 center in the 2nd half losing 37-29. After losing the 1st game Knights got it together and won their next four games beating teams by a margin of 20+ points. Concordia 63- 13, Lakeshore Thunder 48- 28, Kenosha C-life 52- 29 , and St.J Joe's Racine 61- 31 in the 3rd place championship. Knights are now 20 - 3 in tournament play losing all 3 games by a total of 13 points.

Posted Dec 20/10 - Whitefish Bay Tournament

Knights took 3rd place going 3-1 at Whitefish Bay tournament this past weekend. Knights beat Whitefish Bay and Shorewood by a large margin of 20 points, but ended up losing to Sun Prairie by 3 points in the final seconds of pool play. Knights final game for 3rd and 4th place was against Milwaukee Lutheran. Knights started off very sluggish in the 1st half giving Milwakee Lutheran a 1st half lead at halftime. Second half Knights resumed the lead and never looked back beating Milwaukee Lutheran for 3rd place. Knights are now 16-2 in tournament play losing both games by a total of 5 points.

Posted Dec 4/10 - Knights 2nd Place in Fond Du Lac Jam Tournament

Knights took 2nd place in the Fond Du Lac Jam tournament beating Sheboygan & Middleton, but losing a tough battle against Sun Prairie 39-41. Knight are now 13-1 in tournamentt play.

Knights took took another 1st place victory beating the Waukesha Crusaders, Top Flight, and Waukesha West in the Grizz Sports Thanksgiving Tournament held at Center Court on 11/27/10.Knights are now 11-0 in tournament play.

Knights took another 1st place victory this past weekend in Lake Geneva beating Madison Spartans and Muskego to advance to the Championship where they played a tough Waukesha West team beating them 45-37. Knights record is now 8-0 in tournament play. GO KNIGHTS!!!!!

Knights took 1st place in their season opening tournament in Deerfield, IL beating the Lakeview Lakers, Riverside Bulldogs, and the Illinois Jayhawks. Great way to start season off. The Knights begin the season with a 5-0 record!!
