Jul. 22, 2015 - On Tuesday evening, the Smith County League Junior All Stars saw their quest for a state title end at the hands of the Goodlettsville All Stars. This group of young men has nothing to hold their heads down about as they have now marked their name in the history books as the first ever Junior League team to reach the state championship levels. They now join the 2013 & 2014 Senior League All Stars as the only three teams to ever reach the state championship in league history. Congratulations gentlemen! Juniors Advance to State Championship
Jul. 21, 2015 - After fighting through the loser's bracket, the Smith County Junior League All Stars have landed a spot in today's State Championship game versus the Goodlettsville All Stars. Although looked at as heavy underdogs, Smith County looks to shock the world in order to bring home the title. First game is at 6:00 @ the GM Fields in Spring Hill. Smith County will then need to win again at 8:30 to capture the crown and advance to the Southeast Regional in Greenville, South Carolina. LET'S GO SMITH COUNTY!!!!! Read More...
Juniors Two Wins Away From State Championship
Jul. 20, 2015 - The Smith County Junior League All Stars opened the 2015 State Tournament with a 5-2 win over the Columbia American All Stars. They were then set to face off with the Goodlettsville All Stars, who defeated Morristown 21-0. Smith County focused on saving pitching as Goodlettsville went on to win 21-2. On Sunday, Smith County took on the Clarksville Northwest All Stars in a loser's bracket elimination game. Smith County was firing on all cylinders as they went on to win 12-1. Smith County will play New Tazewell this evening at 6:00, who eliminated the Columbia American All Stars last night. The winner will play Madison Central @ 8:30 with the winner advancing to face Goodlettsville in the 2015 Tennessee Junior League State Championship on Tuesday evening. Seniors Finish 3rd Place In State
Jul. 15, 2015 - The Senior League All Stars season came to an end this past Tuesday evening in Morristown, TN. After losing to Lexington on Monday evening 11-2, the Seniors faced off against the defending state champions, Spring Hill on Tuesday. From the start, Spring Hill took control and never looked back, winning the contest 10-2. Smith County finished 3rd place in the state. The Smith County Junior League All Stars are now the lone team left in post season tournament play as they travel to Spring Hill, TN this weekend for the state tournament. They will play Columbia @ 3:00 at the GM Fields located in Spring Hill. Congratulations Seniors and 16 year olds thank you for all the memories the past two years, you will be missed! Read More...
