PORT PERRY -- The Port Perry Power Mites traveled the 401 to face the Cobourg Clippers.

To start the game, Ben MacLeod, Shayne King and Owen Robertson had patient at bats and all drew walks. Noah Cornish then hit a shot to the outfield to bring in a pair of runs. In the Power's next at bat, MacLeod drew a walk and stole second base. Owen Roberston then knocked in MacLeod with a hit over first base to make the score 6-1.

Port Perry was able to keep the Clippers off the scoreboard for a few more innings and was able to cash in a few more runs in the fifth inning when Evan Berger and Ethan Venning started with back-to-back hits followed by a Chase O'Halleran walk to load the bases. Jaxon Melin hit a line drive over the first baseman's head to clear the bases. Shayne King then knocked in Melin to give Port a 10-1 lead.

In the Power's last at bat, Shayne King drew a walk and then stole second base. Owen Robertson hit a line drive for a double which brought King in to score. In Cobourg's last at bat, the team was able to get three across the plate but the final score was Port Perry 11, Cobourg 4.
