2009 OMBL Season

2009 welcomes the addition of the Kamloops Sundevils to the OMBL.  The Kamloops Sundevils have and still compete in the BC U21 Junior league.  Comprised of mainly TRU and EX-TRU players, the Sundevils are a very welcomed addition to the league and will add a much needed boost to the quality of league play. 

Chase has decided to take a year's leave of absence from the league due a number of different financial, player and field factors that have forced the club to take a step back for a season and re-evaluate their program.

Vernon will host the 2009 OMBL playoffs during the July 18,19,20th weekend at Marshall Field.  Previous years have had OMBL teams have a best of three series, this year it will be a tournament format to qualify for the 2009 BCSMBA Provincials in Nanaimo, B.C.

2009 Schedule should be ready for release during the later weeks of March.  Stay tuned to the website for more information.

Also the OMBL has held an AGM in several years and have established a new board of directors.  Bill Bayne will act as President, Darcy Bradford, Vice President, Geoff White, Secretary, and Treasurer will be filled at a later date.
