Countdown to Christmas (Dec 25/10)

Welcome to the Indian River County Quidditch Association New Home Page.

 Quidditch Awareness Day is set for December 27! Come out and learn how to play meet other local muggles interested in being a part of the league. We look forward to seeing everyone there and there is no need to bring any brooms or any other equipment.

Now you can join the emerging real life adapted sport of quidditch. We are looking for 8 team captains to start their own teams and compete in the first season. All teams will be given their own rule books and be responsible for their own practices. All teams must also provide their own brooms. Quaffles, Bludgers, and the Golden Snitch will be provided by IRCQA on gamedays but not for practice purposes for any teams. Each team consists of at least 7 players and as many as 14, with one player being named team captain. 

Anybody interested in taking part in this exciting new sport can contact me at ircqa1@gmail.com with any questions. Furthermore anyone is encouraged to start a team to compete in the 2011 season which begins on January 23. Only 8 teams will be accepted to play in the first season so team captains should form their teams quickly and email me for more.

Captains are responsible for creating a team name and choosing team colors. All teams are responsible for setting up their own practices and providing their own practice equipment
