Team Ticker:

As baseball season approaches, we are excited to get things kicked off with our new coaching staff!

Head Coach, Jeff Walls, comes to us from Batesville, MS, with both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS. While at DSU, Coach Walls helped lead the Statesmen Baseball team to winning the Gulf South Conference in 2000 as a pitcher, and third place in the Division II College World Series in 2001.  That same year, he was the recipient of the coveted Boo Ferriss Sportsmanship Award.  Coach Walls returned to the World Series again in 2002 with the Statesmen as a Graduate Assistant under Coach Mike Kinnison.

Prior to Delta State, Coach Walls was both a baseball and football standout at Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia, MS, becoming a member of both the All-State Baseball team and the All-State Football team.

Joining Coach Walls here in Greenville are his wife, Samantha, also of Batesville, and their daughter Paisley Rae.

Assistant Coach, Anthony Palasini, is from Leland, MS, with a Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS.  He played with Delta State in the 2008 and 2009 seasons, helping lead the 2008 squad to the school's 11th Gulf South Tournament Title.

Prior to coming to Delta State, Coach Palasini was a Mississippi Delta Community College standout, as he made Academic All-American, 2nd Team All-State, and was inducted into the MDCC Hall of Fame in 2007.
