The first Fieldball game at Edgewater was a high scoring one. The pitching matchup was rookies Shaff vs. Lance. Lance let up 3 in the first, 2 rbis by Nate Schultz, but a grand slam in the bottom of the 1st by VanBuren gave Lance a “comfortable” 7-3 cushion. But Kyle and Shaff and Co. rallied back but several hits by Brian and Kyle, and the score was 11-10 going into the bottom of the 4th. But Bobby’s team had to much offense off of Shaff, and they regained a nice 15-10 lead. Bobby “Flamethrower” came in for the save, he allowed a leadoff HR to Kyle to start off the inning, but managed to get two outs with runners on first and third with Kyle up at bat again. Kyle jacked the shit outta one but Lance got it literally 2 feet in front of the wall, and Bobbys team held on for a  15-11 win. That is both Bobby & Joe’s fourth straight win and it was VanBuren’s third.

    2 HR: Joe (3) Shaffer (4)
    HR: Bobby (3) Kyle (2)

The highest scoring game of the season so far was a record-breaking one. Shaffer and Joe went back-to-back HRs, and they both had 2 hrs in the same inning. Bobby had a lead-off HR on the 2nd pitch of the game of Stuts, but VanBuren, Stuts and Brian at the time were able to get 5 in the bottom of the first making it look like they would win this one. But the 11 run 2nd for Bobby’s team gave them a 14-5 early, and gave VanBurens team no shot to come back. Brian came in and allowed just  1 run in the 3 innings until giving up 5 in the 6th. Bobby closed the game out in the 6th allowing Kyles 3rd HR of the season.

    W- VanBuren (1-0)
    L- Kyle (1-1)
    2 HR: Shaffer (2)

In a classic primetime Saturday Fieldball game, Shaffer hit his first 2 HRs in his career, and his first walk-off HR in his career. It was a low scoring one as well, VanBuren vs. Kyle classic pitching matchup, Shaff had a HR in the first inning, followed in the 2nd by an RBI single in the 2nd scoring Bobby by Joe. It was 2-0 going into the top of the 4th, where VanBuren still had a no-hitter going, but a double over Bobby's head hit by Stuts ruined that as VB was just 4 outs away from a no-hitter. But in the top of the 5th, it became a game. With runners on first and third, Lance tripled scoring 2 runs to tie the game. Then a hit by Brian scored the go ahead run to make it 3-2. But Bobby and Co. arent going to give up that easy. Bobby lead off the inning with an infield single, followed by a VanBuren walk. Then big Shaffer came up and hit a walk-off 3 run sewer shot, his 2nd of the game.

    W- Shaffer (1-0)
    L- Bobby (0-2)
    HR: Bobby (2) Lance (1)

Lance had the first 4 rbis for his team, as they dropped 8 runs in the first innings before Bobby and his team got just a single run. It was 8-0 when Bobby hit his 2nd HR of the season, a 3-run shot. But Shaffer was able to hold them and they got the win 9-5

    Sunday, May 16th

This game was from Friday, May 14th

Bobby Brian Schultz Mardi 10-11 Kyle Joe Michael Stuts

    BoBrScMa 1-1-0-6-2-0--10
    KyJoStMi   0-0-8-2-0-0--11

    W- Kyle (1-0)
    L- Bobby (0-1)

    HR: Bobby (1) Kyle (1)

This was the first good game of the 2010 season. Brian making his first start since winning Game 4 of the 2009 FBWS. On the mound for the other team would be Stutsman. Bobby and Co. got ahead early 2-0, but when Kyle and Co. brought the bats in the 3rd they dropped 8, and were up 8-2. But Bobby, Brian, Schultz in Mardi rallied back, getting 6 back in the 4th, which feat. a Bobby HR, and two shots by Mardi that were just foul. Kyle 2-run HR made it 10-8, but Schultz had a couple of hits that Joe couldnt field and it was 10-10 going into extras. Bobbys team couldnt put any on the board in the top of the inning, and in the bottom Joe hit a single over a diving brian scoring Stuts from 2nd to win 11-10.

Next game is Thursday, May 20th

    Tuesday, May 11th

The fieldball season has had a slow start, but will start having a couple every games every week starting this Friday, since Stutsman and Brian will be back. There is a game this Friday at 5pm at PineTreePark, it is only the 2nd game of the season

    Friday, April 30th

Bobby Derek Joe Schultz 10-4 Lance Shuba Shaffer Mardi

    W- Derek (1-0)
    L- Lance (0-1)

    HR: Joe (1) Schultz (1) Derek (1)

It was a windy one for the first official game of 2010 earlier today. Schutlz and Shaffer we're both making their regular season fieldball debut. Schutlz, who we didn't except to much from, went 3-4 with 2 doubles. Derek was able to shutdown Shuba, Lance, Shaffer and Mardi, only allowing 1 run in 3 innings. Many run-costing errors were made by Shaffer's team, which was another reason why they got blown out. Bobby then came to close it and allowed 3 runs, but they still easily won 10-4.

    Wednesday, March 11th

The 2010 pre-season will get underway this Saturday, March 13th, as Shaffer and some others are ready to make their fieldball debut. Come back for more updates throughout the whole entire 2010 season, it will be epic.

    What is Fieldball?

Good question you poon, fieldball is basically baseball in the field, but not. We use a tennis ball, alumnium bats, have a homerun fence so its yes its a legit league. We usually play a couple times during the week, then during the summer we play 4 or 5 times a week. New teams are picked every game, until the World Series, which takes place from August 2nd-6th, which is always a classic. Two captains are picked based on the regular season player standings, and the Players Cup Champion, P.C. dates come out later in May.

    Point System:

    Win-3
    Loss-0
    HR-1

    Past World Series Champions:

    2006: Bobby 1-0 Kyle (1 game series)
2007: Tony 3-2 Bobby (MVP: Tony)
2008: Bobby 3-1 Kyle (MVP: Bobby)
2009: VanBuren 3-1 Michael (MVP: Kyle)

The players listed were the captains of the series
Every game in the World Series is epic, so if you're going to show up to any games this season, comes to these ones, you may become a hero (: or a loon ):
