On Wednesday February 13, 2013 East Oahu won 8 out of 9 games VS Calagry Canada(which included girls and boys teams).

smileyOne Major advantage East Oahu Volleyball Club has over other volleyball clubs is we attract many international girls and boys volleyball Teams to Travel to play East Oahu at our Honolulu gym, so we dont have to pay for Travel expeneses like most other clubs they come to us.  These international teams travel as far from Vancouver, Calary, Saint Thomas,Me Lazerte, Canada, and California .

For twelve successful years Steve Capone’s company, Estate Planning Consultants Of Hawaii, has sponsored and coordinated the East Oahu Volleyball Club and has helped 1000’s of Hawaii boys and girls develop and advance their volleyball skills. Steve has served the volleyball community’s youth on the east side for 12 years now. “It gives me tremendous satisfaction when I see our young boys and girls develop and advance their all-around volleyball skills and especially when I see them excel in their high school and college volleyball careers,” says Steve.

Steve’s East Oahu Volleyball Club has gained national attention attracting teams from Canada, Brazil, and California. Out-of-state volleyball clubs often conduct year-round fundraising so they can plan an annual vacation to Oahu centered around playing Steve’s volleyball teams. This fall, an All-Star team from one of Vancouver, Canada’s top high schools is returning again for their second trip focused on scrimmaging Steve’s East Oahu Teams. Many of East Oahu’s volleyball players have received valuable volleyball scholarships to schools including St. John’s, UH, Pepperdine, USC, Colorado State, and many more.

East Oahu volleyball players have gone on to become top local volleyball players for their respective high schools including Kamehameha, Punahou, Iolani, MidPac, Maryknoll, Hawaii Baptist, Castle, Kahuku, Kaiser, Kalani, McKinley, Roosevelt, Kalani, and more.

Our boys beat the "Onipaa 18 year old Gold" team in the first set and went to three sets; and in the tie breaker 3rd set was just one win short of advancing to the championship game 13-15.

We were very proud of our boys. **Aloha State Games 18's & 16's Our mandatory regular practice schedule is in effect, practices will be every Monday at 7pm-9pm and every Wednesday at 5pm 7pm, both at the Star-Of The-Sea Gym. In order for players to be considered for scrimmage games and tournaments, it is required that all players attend both regular practice's which are scheduled every Monday 7pm-9pm and every Wednesday 5pm-7pm unless the player is sick or off island. The player is required to contact the club director 2-hours prior to practice if they are unable to attend. All our club players have shown measurable improvement after working with our coaching staff during the club season. A few positive notes on three of our club players from last year. East Oahu Club Player Daniel Morisato a senior outside hitter was nominated the 2006 DII East Player Of The Year and currently attends Kalani. Congratulations to Sage Capone, Honolulu a Junior Outside Hitter at Kalani who recorded 14 straight service points in a match over Aiea.

A big congratulations to last years East Oahu Club Player Brett Zukunft who was a member of the 3rd place finishers at the 2005 JUNIOR OLYMPIC BOY'S VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The 2007 "15-White Team" secured 15 talented players. Our 2007 "18 Red Team" secured 15 talented players ages 16-18. *See both team rosters, click on the Roster tab. Our CLUB PLAYERS come from both the ILH and OIA.

Both East Oahu 18-Red & 15-White Photo Albums have been updated, *more photo's will be comming.

Much Mahalo and Best Wishes for a safe and successful 2008 Club Season.
