Dawson High School Cheerleaders support CHANCE FOR HOPE!
On October 14, 2013, 13 year-old Chance Davidson, a Silverlake resident, lost his life to brain cancer. During Chance’s fifteen month battle, he spent days upon days and weeks receiving in-patient cancer treatments at Texas Children’s Hospital. Many of the patients at TCH are not able to attend school because of their cancer. Thus, the Chance For Hope Foundation began a Target Gift Card Back to School Drive to purchase school supplies for those children in the hospital. These supplies help them complete their school work. The DHS Cheerleaders proudly donated $320 in Target Gift Cards. The DHS Cheer Booster Club donated an additional $100 totaling in $420. Pictured below is the Davidson family and photos from the evening when the cheerleaders presented Mrs. Davidson with the Target gift cards. DHS cheerleaders value community service and with great joy were honored to support THE CHANCE FOR HOPE FOUNDATION.
