The BRAZUCAS is a soccer team of the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our story started in the 2008-2009 indoor season at EDSA (Edmonton and District Soccer Association) and in 2010 the team moved to the Saint Albert Soccer League, where we won our first championship.
Our team is very proud of its Brazilian roots, however we welcome players (friends) from all nationalities that share values such as: - respect - honesty - family - friendship - sportsmanship
Why do we play soccer? - because we love the game - it is part of our culture - for fun - to stay fit - to make new friends - to strengthen existing friendship
In a hard-fought game, the Brazucas defeated Fianna FC 3-2. Fianna had an early lead in the game but the Brazucas tied it before half time. In the second half, the Brazucas scored two goals to bring their lead to 3-1, but Fianna fought back and scored their second goal to make it a tight game. Time ran out on them, however, and the Brazucas held on for a 3-2 win.
