Wanted U12 Girls to Play Baseball

Manitoba Baseball is hosting an inaugural provincial Baseball Tournament in Portage La Prairie from August 7th, 8th and 9th.  Each league has been asked to bring one team to this event.  So far, Pembina Hills has approximately six girls ready and willing (hopefully) to go. It will be a great opportunity to play on an all-girl's baseball team and experience the game of baseball.  The opportunity is open to both baseball and softball players.

We will be having some regional, traveling practices to prepare for this tournament.

If you have any players who would like to come and see what it is all about, please contact Patti Hacault at

Pembina Hills Minor Baseball Pitching Camp was a Hit

Pembina Hills Minor Baseball League hosted a very successful annual Spring Pitching Clinic in Pilot Mound on Sunday, May 3rd.  The Pilot Mound Arena venue was ideal as the cool windy weather forced the participants indoors.

However, the ambiance was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as the ball players learned and fine-tuned those skills from Rodney Ledochowski, and his daughter Jade.

The sessions throughout the day had players from Swan Lake, Pilot Mound, Bruxelles, Notre Dame de Lourdes, Treherne, Glenboro, Crystal City, Manitou, Holland, Carberry, Somerset, Mariapolis and Glenboro taking part.

Feedback from the participants and their parents was extremely positive with adjectives of “fantastic," “great," “awesome” and “best ever!”

FREE Ice Cream
The East End Service in Carberry will be giving free ice cream to those players who are dressed in uniform after games in Carberry.
