Notes:
The East Suns Freshman and Germantown passed the lead back and forth on Monday at River road, but in the end the East Suns Freshman pulled out a 9-4 win in seven innings over Germantown. East finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. A groundout by Spencer Rittmann scored Nate Daugherty and gave the East Suns the lead for good. Carlitos Salazar racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Suns. He singled in the first and fourth innings. Dakota Skenandore got the win in relief for the Suns. Dakota pitched three innings and allowed no runs. Germantown jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Hensel doubled to ignite Germantown's offense, before Fuchs singled, plating Rait. Germantown then tacked on one more run when Gill scored on an error. It didn't take long for the East Suns to answer as it scored three runs of its own in the first. They scored on a two-run double by Nate Farrington and an RBI single by Carlitos. |
