East Suns defeat Cedarburg Bulldogs 6-4. East and Cedarburg volleyed the lead five times on Tuesday, but the Suns came out on top for a 6-4 win on Tuesday at jack Friess Field. The Suns jumped out in the top of the first inning with 1 run and finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning which gave the Suns the lead for good. Sam Michels got the win in relief for East. Sam pitched five innings and allowed no runs. DJ Clemins couldn't get it done on the hill for Cedarburg Varsity, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out four. In the top of the first, the Suns grabbed the early lead, 1-0. A double by Zach Biermann, plating Travis Bizub started the inning off. After a quick strike from the Suns, the Bulldogs responded with one run in the first. Cedarburg Varsity scored on an RBI single by Drake Daniels. The fourth spelled defeat for Cedarburg, as the Suns grabbed the lead for good.
