Rosenthal, East down Bulldogs, gives the Suns the victory with walk off single in extras!
The Suns made the most of their 6 hits in a 3-2 victory over Cedarburg Varsity Wednesday evening.
Both East and Cedarburg put runners aboard on Wednesday, but it was East that was able to take advantage, pulling out a 3-2 win at Regner Park in extras.
The Bulldogs had seven hits compared with Easts six, but Cedarburg stranded six runners on base.
Zach Biermann reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He ignited the Suns bats with a deep blast to center field for a double in the sixth inning. He then continued his hitting by singling in the eighth inning.
Jonah Maas baffled Cedarburg, striking out three batters. Jonah allowed no earned runs, five hits and no walks over five innings.
Derrick Mueller came in to pitch the 6th and 7th and held his own with no earned runs and yielding just two hits.
Turner Pruett got the win in relief for East pitching a stellar 8th inning. Turner pitched one inning and allowed no runs, striking out one.
Drake Daniels took the loss for the Cedarburg Bulldogs. He lasted just 7 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out 10, and allowed three runs.
One run gave Cedarburg a leg up after neither team scored for most of the game. Cedarburg scored on an RBI single by Lucas Roszak.
