Notes:
The East Suns fell 12-0 to Plymouth Varsity at Carl Loebe Field on Wednesday.
Jake Richards got the win for Plymouth Varsity. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. Richards struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.
Plymouth Varsity's Luke Held, Richards and Luke Hojnocki combined for seven hits and seven RBIs.
Zach Biermann ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
Plymouth Varsity never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring four runs on a two-run double by Luke Hojnocki and a two-run single by Richards.
Plymouth Varsity added five more runs in the bottom of the second. A clutch sacrifice fly scored Clay Henning to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Richards' double, scoring Tyler Willeford and Luke Held.
