| Game Notes: JV's get a taste of Mingo Bay baseball by taking on a team from Upper St. Claire, PA and get steamrolled 17-4 in five innings by a physically older, larger, and stronger group of players. The Braves had a chance to capture some early momentum, with bases loaded in the bottom of the first and no outs, but fail to convert and watch as the visitors plate 10 runs over the next two innings. One bright spot for Socastee came in the bottom of the third when sophomores Chase Keevert and Hayden Miller delivered two-run homers to make it interesting. Pitching for the Braves were Kyle Smith, Chase Clark, Trevor Bigham, and Dylan Thompson. Offensively, the JV's mustered five hits (Chase Keevert (2-3, hr, r 2rbi), Hayden Miller (1-3, hr, r, 2rbi), Dalton Smith (1-3, 2b), and Trevor Bigham (1-1, bb). | ||||||||
