The Quote from Dombo made in 2006 I believe satands try today....." We play, who we play" Nothing more true than that today. Joe Nix got his 1st start as a Bluejay, and it didn't work out like he would have liked. After giving up a run in the 1st, Nixy put up a 0 in the 2nd. After walking a run in, in the 3rd with Bases loaded Boomer came in and got out without any more damage. Then Nixy & Boomer Switched back and nixy took the hill to start the 4th but after a couple walks Boomer came in to stay. Plat struggled at the plate and had trouble figuring out the zone, Boothy got the boot and that may have woke us up. We tied the score at 3 in the 6th on a pass ball and put up 2 go ahead runs in the 7th. We scored 3 out of 5 runs on passed balls. A win is a win, but we heard the sarcastic cheers from the fans in Blue!!! Boomer went 5 shut out inns for the win, D-Hue pitched the 9th for the save. |
