| Game Notes: In a well-pitched game by both sides, the Coquitlam Reds edged the Kelowna Cubs 3-1 in the second half of Saturday's doubleheader at Elks. Mike Heitzman scattered four hits in six innings for the win, and David Kington struck out the side in the seventh for the save. Brandon Kaufman had great control for the Cubs, allowing only three hits in five innings. Ryan McCredie closed with two shutout innings. At the plate, Mike Stearns had a double, with Cody Valgardson, Ryan Franz and Jeff Anderson contributing doubles. | ||||||||||
