| Game Notes: The Thunder (10-5, 7-3) won its fourth straight in division play, beating Prior Lake at Pond, 10-7. The win moved the club a step closer to division leader Burnsville, who entered weekend play with just two losses. Righthander Spencer Pratt (3-0) went five innings, yielding six hits and two earned runs. He struck out one and walked four. The win placed Pratt on the all-time list for wins in a season for Thunder pitchers, a list that includes his older brother Ben, who also won three for the state champion-club in 2004. James Lenz pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief before Dan Coyle came on to record the final out to earn the save. The offense was led by multi-hit games from Mitch Haug (BB,2RS), Ben Wagner (2B,2RS,RBI), Joe Radermacher (2B,2BB,2RS,3RBI), Casey Jacobson and Coyle (2 2B,2RS). Joel Bertelsen (2B), Lenz (RS) and Pratt (SB,RS) also knocked in runs for the club. Adam Edwinson (RBI) came on to spell injured veteran John Grotkin behind the dish and Rookie Justin Trusty made a pinch-hitting appearance for the club. The Thunder has the weekend off before returning to league play Monday at home against Prior Lake. | ||||||||||
