Game Notes: The Thunder won its second straight in league play, beating division rival Lakeville, 6-2. The defense played flawlessly, putting up its first errorless game of the season. Josh "Future" Retka pitched six strong innings to pick up his first win in a Thunder uniform. After giving up two runs on four hits in the first inning, the righthander settled in and shut down the potent Lakeville offense the rest of the way, yielding no hits, striking out six and walking just two. He retired 16 of the last 18 batters he faced. Beau Jacobson pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief of Retka. The Thunder broke open a 3-2 game with a three-run seventh. Beau Jacobson reached on an error to lead off. Pinch-runner Keegan Jindra scored on Andy Cutter's booming double to center, and the Thunder were off and running to seal the win. Derek Jacobson had three hits and scored a run to lead the offense, but the big story was the second half of the Thunder line-up. The 6-9 batters were a combined 8-for-15, scored four times and drive in all six runs for the Thunder. Retka helped his own cause by going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI; Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe and "Easy" Eddie Hagberg each had two hits and knocked in runs, and Cutter went 2-for-3, with a run scored and two RBI. The Thunder takes on division foe Bloomington Monday at Dred Scott Field. Righthander Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe (1-0) takes the hill.
