| Game Notes: The Thunder advanced to the winner's bracket of the District Play-offs with a 9-6 win over host Lakeville. Righthander Jake Kruegel (3-1) and southpaw reliever "Easy" Eddie Hagberg (SV) combined on a six-hitter. Kruegel gave up just one earned run over five innings, striking out eight and walking just two. Hagberg faced six hitters and struck out two to close the deal. Rookie sensation Pay Coyne (2B,RS,SB) had three hits and knocked in two runs to lead the offense. Jeremy "JJ" McKay (RBI) and Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe (RS,RBI) each had two hits and Kruegel (3RS,2BB) helped his own cause with a three-run double in the fifth inning. | ||||||||||
