Notes:
Crosstown rival Apple Valley beat the Thunder (6-5, 3-4) at Legion Field Wednesday, 9-5. The 76ers took an early 5-0 lead and later led 9-1 before the Thunder mounted a late comeback to close the deficit. Starter Jake Kruegel (1-2) pitched 4 2/3 innings, yielding four earned runs. Beau Jacobson came on in relief and pitched 2 1/3 innings of one-hit baseball. The offense got going late and reached AV's starter for seven hits over the final three frames, lead by Nick "the Quick" Molitor (2-for-4, 1B, 2B, 2RBI), Matt Neutz (1B, RBI, OFA), JJ McKay (RBI), and Mitch Haug (1B, RBI). The club returns to action Friday with a division game on the road against Eagan.
