Notes:
The Thunder (5-2, 3-1) parlayed a big first inning into a 10-4 win Thursday, the club's fourth in their past five meetings with the Twins. Apple Valley's defensive struggles led to seven unearned Eastview runs in the opening frame. Righthander Spencer Pratt (2-0) went the route, scattering 11 hits and striking out three. Pratt displayed his trademark control as he walked none and disposed of the Twins on 87 pitches (48 through the first five innings). Joel Bertelsen (2RBI) and Adam Shie (2B,2RS RBI) each had two hits; Sam Foy (2RS) had a double and 2RBI and Robbie Sikich contributed an RBI double. Andy Dziekan, Dan Coyle, Andy Gensch, Cory Meyer, Pete "Z-Man" Zukanoff and Casey Jacobson all scored runs for the club. Dziekan also had 10 putouts and Shie recorded a season-high six assists. With the victory, Pratt, who got nine of 21 outs by groundball, became the Thunder's all-time leader in career wins with seven. The club has two days off before returning to division play with a Father's Day tilt against division leader Eagan.
