Game
Notes:
The Thunder (17-6) won its second straight in the 2007 State Tournament, beating West Division Champ Fridley, 2-1. Righthander Spencer Pratt (5-0) went the route, giving up no earned runs and just four hits in seven innings, despite five errors by the Thunder defense. He walked one, fanned six, and faced 28 batters. The Thunder offense gave Pratt all the support he would need in the first. Pratt helped his own cause by leading off with a double. Veteran Mitch Haug followed with a single, and Ben Wagner plated Pratt with the first run of the game on an RBI sac fly. With two out, Joe Radermacher singled to score Haug with the eventual winning run. The Thunder was not able to tally another hit over its final five at-bats. With the win, the club moves into the winner's bracket Thursday to face West Division Champion Eden Prairie, who beat Hi-Tower/Cretin 11-1 in its tourney opener. The game will mark the first meeting of the season between the two teams. Righthander Casey Jacobson (3-1) takes the hill. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00PM at Big Willow.
