Game Notes: The Thunder (16-6) beat North Division play-off winner Osseo/Maple Grove 8-4 behind Righthander Joe Radermacher's seven-hit complete game. The win allowed the club to advance to play North Division regular-season Champion Fridley on Thursday. Radermacher (4-2) won his third straight decision, scattering seven hits and yielding just three earned runs. He struck out a season-high seven and walked none. The Thunder defense played near errorless baseball, while the offense put up crooked numbers in the first and fourth innings. Lead-off man Spencer Pratt (2B,RBI), Veteran John "Rain Delay" Grotkin (2B,RS), and Rookie Joel Bertelsen (HBP) each had two hits; Grotkin also drove in three. Casey Jacobson (SB) and James Lenz (SB) also drove in runs, while Adam Edwinson (1B) added a bunt single which lead to a run. Ben Wagner (RBI, 2RS), Mitch "Jeter" Haug (1B) and Radermacher (2BB,SAC,RBI) each scored at least one run. The Thunder will send Righthander Spencer Pratt (4-0, 1.75) to the hill on Thursday. |
