Two hits... You don't win with two hits. Mark Stewart(1-1) continued his road to rehabilitation. Stewart labored for 3 2/3, struggling with his control. When he did find the zone, Cortizone made him pay. Stewart's mess was mopped up by Scott Delony and then Marc Grenon who was very impressive in his first outing of the season. In seven innings the Bad Boys gave up 11 hits, 9 walks, and had 6 errors. The Bad Boys faired slightly better at the plate. "Hitting machine" Steve Sloboda extended his hit streak to four games in which he is hitting a cool .364. He ties Marc Grenon, also hitting .364, who had his hitting streak snapped in the same game, for the longest in franchise history. Also noteworthy, Steve Putman "the Professional" went 0-0 and walked three times. Putman now has a .727 OB% to go with his batting average of .5oo! Putman added two more notches to his belt as well, gunning down two runners attempting to steal. On the base paths Matt Aukland swiped his 4th base of the year. With that stolen base Aukland was the only Bad Boy to reach third base. There you have it. A humbling loss. The Bad Boys are now 2-3, and face the 2-2 Puyallup Grizzlies Thursday night at Mt. Tahoma.
