Tick...Tick...Boom! Travis Thomas leads off the game ala Rickey Henderson with a homerun down the leftfield line. The Bad Boys jumped out 2-0 and didn't trail til the fifth, when starting pitcher Jared Podruchny(1-1) would eventially tire. Podruchny did hold last year's league MVP David Bingham hitless at 0-2 with a walk. But as Podruchny finished the Monarchs off to end the bottom of the fifth, the Bad Boys trailed by one, 3-2. The Bad Boys would answer back in the top of the sixth though. After two quick outs, Steve Sloboda singled and Marc Grenon walked to set the stage for Mr. June, Jeremy Acree. The Bad Boys were down by 1, 3-2, with four outs remaining. Acree blasted a shot to left center that appeared at first to be a double. On his way to second, Acree would kick it into another gear and wind up at third with a two out, two run triple. Acree then scored an insurance run on a shortstop error off the bat of Russell Breedlove. The Bad Boys ace closer Brian Airey would finish in relief to earn his first save. Airey worked into and out of a couple of jams with no lasting harm. Josh Hoke drove in the nail with an RBI single in the top half of the seventh. Final score 6-4. Bad Boys stop the losing skid at two and are back at .500.
