BAD BOYS 2111010--6119
Game Notes: As impressive as Stewart's Opening Day performance was, this start was equally disappointing. After feeling pain his first warmup pitch in the pen, Stewart went against everything the pitching coach stands for, and labored through three innings. Offensively the Bad Boys looked to be in good shape early. The Bad Boys scored in each of the first four innings to knot the score at 5-5. The early offense was highlighted by two triples. One by Scott Delony. The other by Steve Putman. Yes, Steve Putman. After Stewart left the mound in the third, Delony came in from center to throw. Scott provided some priceless relief when no other pitchers were available. His curveball kept the Cascades off balance for the better part of three innings. Steve Putman and his rocket arm cut down two runners at second. You don't run on Put! Delony's control and the defense behind him would eventually give way to an eleven run inning. To get the final out the Bad Boys called upon Russell Breedlove who applied the tourniquet. It was an UGLY game, and an UGLY inning. Bad Boys pitcher's yielded 11 walks in all, while the defense committed nine errors. The good news, if there was any, is that the Bad Boys banged out 11 hits. Jeremy Acree doubled for the second straight game, going 2-3 with an RBI. Bad Boys fall to 1-2.
