Game
Notes:
'Bout fuckin' time! No, this is not a typo. Days after being shut out in seven innings versus the Butterflies, er Monarchs, the Bad Boys break out in a big way. Tewnty-two runs in 4 innings! A 10 run first inning! A 7 run third inning! After scoring a total of 30 runs the first 7 games of the season for a 4.3 average, the Bad Boys score 22 runs in 4 innings for their first 10 run victory in franchise history. All 9 Bad Boy hitters reached base and scored in the first inning. The only concern was that starting pitcher Jared Podruchny(0-0) shut it down early due to shoulder discomfort. Offensively, the highlights were non-stop. From the top... Matt Aukland was 2-4 with a double, 2 RBI's and 4 runs scored. The Bad Boys had been averaging 4 runs a game coming in to the contest. The Travis Thomas experience continues. He was 3-4 with a double, stolen base, 3 runs scored and 5 RBI's. Third baseman Ryan Rhoads, in his first action in nearly a month, was quite selective. Perhaps he's too disciplined to swing at the poo that was flung his way. Rhoads walked three times, but was still a force. He finished 1-2 with a 3 RBI double. With an offensive outburst like this, you know Mr Bad Boy was involved. Acree was 3-4 with 4 RBI's. Josh Hoke, playing right, had a hit, a stolen base, an RBI, and scored 2 runs. Noel Carlson had a 2 RBI single in the hit parade of the first inning. Zack Larson got behind the dish for the first time in twenty years, and is now undefeated as a catcher in the Pierce County Roy Hobbs League. A feat unmatched by even the league's best. That's including the likes of Hoke and Putman. Oh by the way, he was 1-2 with 2 walks, 2 stolen bases, and 3 runs scored. The "Glove Muscle" had a multi-hit game! You heard correctly. Russell Breedlove was 2-3 with a walk, an RBI, and 3 runs scored on the day. Brian Airey, though hitless, had 3 walks and an RBI. What an outburst! This is what the Bad Boys have in their arsenal.
