Game Notes: Happy freakin' Father's Day. The Father's Day double header lasted all of five innings due to rain. The pitcher's mound was probably playable for 3 maybe 4 of the 5 innings. Well, the Bad Boys finally got to Mr. Gilner. After losing to Ruston's starter 3 times a year ago, he was chased from this contest after 4 frames. The Bad Boys hit well in today's rain. Thomas was 2-2 with a stolen base and an RBI. Romero, who also had two hits, got the Bad Boys on the board first with an RBI single and later doubled deep to right. Hoke had 2 RBI's. The bats are definitely coming around, and the defense is solid as ever. On the hill, Marc Grenon(0-1) was dominant through 4. In the fifth the Monarchs finally caught up to his heat. After 6 strikeouts in the first 3 2/3, the Monarchs first 7 batters of the fifth inning recorded hits. Due to the downpour, the game was called as the Bad Boys took the field in the top of the sixth. After three games the Bad Boys are 0-3, and look to get their first win next Sunday vs the Grizz.
