Game Notes: The game was delayed by the highly controversial, unethical rule-breaking of the Pirates. Pirates head coach and the league's interim comissioner Hector Ortiz's first attempt to cheat by inserting Amigos' underage players into his lineup was thwarted. His second attempt to cheat was not. Without a legitimate league office, or any real, organized leadership, rosters didn't exactly exist in 2009. Some teams like Cortizone, the Monarchs, and your Bad Boys have taken this league seriously and actually posted their rosters online for all to see. The Pirates on the other hand, have used Craigslist ads to pick up underage college players. Today, Hector Ortiz not only suited up players that had not played for the Pirates all year, but players that had played for other teams in the league. When the comissioner is cheating against you what can ya do?

An injury to Travis Thomas in the first playoff game and prior engagements for a few other Bad Boys left the orange hats with 9 players for the loser out contest.

Controversy aside, the Bad Boys got on the board first. In the third, Brian Airey, who started at second base, reached on a fielders choice. Jared Podruchny's single moved Airey to second. After Airey stole third, Podruchny stole second. Airey stole home on the catcher's failed attempt to get "Pod" at second. On the bump, Marc Grenon(0-1) was forced to leave the game in the 5th under the 3 hit batters rule without having surrendered a run. Grenon was brilliant through 4+. He allowed only 3 hits and a walk while striking out 2. Matt Lowery(0-1) replaced Grenon, and after allowing an inherited runner to score, battled through 1 2/3 innings keeping it close. The Bad Boys were blanked the rest of the way though, mustering just 4 hits on this fateful day. Offensively, Podruchny led the way going 2-3 with a stolen base. Airey was 1-3 with a run and 2SB's, and Josh Hoke added a hit in his 1-3 day. That's all folks!

Bad Boys version 1.0 is in the books. The inaugural season ends with a 5-14-1 record. Expect wholesale changes and a marked improvement in 2010.
