In the season finally the Tigers answered the bell. The Tigers sent the gritty veteran #17 to the mound for his first career start. In the 1st He pitched to his strength. Forcing 2 ground balls and poping up the 3rd out. The Tigers offense came out roaring. Gylling and Sloboda placed the table by drawing back to back walks. Then Mr. Bad Boy, sorry El Tigre', clutched up and drove in the 1st run of the game. But the Tigers were not done there. Russell the Muscle came up with a 2 RBI hit of his own. The 2nd came and went, the Eagles had no answer for the junk #17 was throwing at them. Finally in the 3rd the Eagles were able to get around on the crafty vet. They touched him up for 1 ER. But that wasn't enough. The vulcher, (Breedlove) pitched a scoreless 4th. Extending his scoreless streaka to 3 games. In the 4th B. Williams made an outstanding throw from right center to nail a runner at 3rd trying to tag on a fly ball. (You can't run on that arm, are you kidding me). In the 5th, both players that were HBP came around to score on a clutch 2 out Carlson base hit. The Tigers closer came in to finish off the Eagles. After getting the first 2 outs the Eagles rallied 3 consecutive hits to put up 2 runs. But that was all they could muster. The Tigers added a (Brian Arnold) insurance run in the 6th by stealing home. And by the time we rolled around to the bottom of the 6th the batters had no chance at any pitches. It was just to dark. Good game Tigers, good game.
