BINGO FUND RAISING INFORMATION


Welcome to the William Byrd Girls Basketball Booster Club family.  Thank you to all the parents who have worked and are scheduled to work Bingo along with the other fundraisers to help the booster club provide funding for the Lady Terriers.

Bingo is an important part of the fund raising for the Lady Terriers.  The Lady Terriers cover slots on Sundays from 5:00 pm to 10:00pm.  We need parents to train for all positions.  Please contact William Gibbs at willandsharon@cox.net  if you would like to train for any of the positions (Game Manager, Treasurer, Instant Manager and Caller).  We currently have 1 Caller, 3 Instant Managers, 1 Game Manager, and 3 Treasurers.  The majority of our trained parents were junior & senior parents, we really need for the younger players' parents to start training for these positions ASAP.  Contact me for a copy of the duties for these spots.

The Bingo schedule is listed on the Calendar page.  If for some reason you are unable to work your scheduled time, first check with another member to see if you can switch dates then if you are unable to find someone, contact William so we can try to get someone there so we do not lose money for that night.

Please remember that you are asked to be there by 5:00 if you are working as Caller, Treasurer, Game Manager or Instant Manager.  If you are working the floor you need to be there by 5:15 (new time).  Also, please make sure you sign in for girls basketball when you get there to make sure we get credit.  Do not leave if you are told they have enough people already, check with the Game Manager, we always have two spots!  Bingo workers can expect on working until about 10:00pm depending on where you are located.  Make sure to check with the Game Manager before leaving for the night!

Floor workers please check with the Game Manager to see where you are needed, you may start out selling paper, then moving to instant or just selling paper all night.  Instant floor workers are reminded to help call bingo on the floor as needed.

Bingo has gone to a sports specific format. Girls basketball will be responsible for all positions on our assigned nights.

Parents of middle school players are asked to work 2 times; Parents of JV players are asked to work 3 times; Parents of Varsity players are asked to work 5 times.  Parents of managers are asked to work 1 time.  Also, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings, players, etc. (must be at least 16 years old) may work for your turn(s), just let me know if someone would like to donate their time to help out the club.  Times worked are from October 2012 through September 2013. The season for bingo is October 2012 through September 2013.
