Post from 07/04/08:
Socastee loses to Marion 4-2 to end their season. Kyle Presley pitched a great game but Socastee could not put enough runs on the board to overcome Marion's pitching and defense. Justin Vreeland also played a great game at short with 5 assists and 2 of them good enough for the highlight films. Pitching for Socastee were Kyle Presley and Sean Bonawitz. Hitting were Tim Starkey (1-4, 2B, RBI), Justin Vreeland (1-3, RBI), Kyle Presley (1-2), Jake Davis (1-3), Cobi Guilbeau (1-3), and Sean Bonawitz (1-3). The Braves really improved this year from their poor start and should be proud of how they played during the stretch. Good luck to them as they move on to football, fall baseball, or strength and conditioning preparing for next year. (Stats have been posted)

Post from 07/02/08:

Also, the younger players looked good as Chase Clark threw well on the mound and had a line drive base hit and Chase Keever made a nice play in right and had a line drive base hit and Cobi Guilbeau looked good behind the plate with no passed balls.
