Jasmine Fuller Verbally Commitments to Angelo State Hanging up her LADY PANTHER uniformed for a RAMBELLE.....Our very own, JASMINE FULLER, has verbally committed to Angelo State University. Jasmine will be signing a letter of intent to play basketball for ASU.....A signing party for Jasmine will be held during 2nd period (9:30am-10:25am) on Wednesday, April 23rd in the cafeteria...If you have a chance come join us in congratulating her.

PTR Zamora Howard Payne Bound PTR and Vista Ridge guard Brittany Zamora has committed to Howard Payne College in Brownwood, Texas. The 5'6 guard will bring her skills to one of the top Division III Women's Basketball programs in the country. Zamora was a four-year starter at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas. Zamora was named "Newcomer of the Year" in District 25-4A in 2004-05. Zamora has also been selected to the All-District Team since 2004. Zamora is Vista Ridge all time scoring leader. PTR is exetremely proud of Brittnay's accomplishments and look forward to having an outstanding career at Howard Payne.
Monday, January 28 PTR's Sampson Nominated for McDonald's All-American Team McNeil High School and PTR's Schera Sampson is a 2008 McDonald's All-American nominee. Sampson, who is averaging 15 points, nine rebounds, five blocks and three steals per game for the Mavericks this season, holds several records for the team - including most steals in a game (12), blocks (12) and most blocks in a season with 144 and during the current District 14-5A race. The senior has notched 17 double-doubles thus far and notched a triple-double against Stony Point January 8th. Sampson will be included in a pool of about 800 nominees for both the boys and girls teams. The final 20 players - 10 on the West team and 10 on the East - will be announced in late January or early February. The McDonald's All-American games are March 26 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Former members of the All-American team include Michael Jordan, Candice Parker and LeBron James. Congratulations Schera on this great accomplishment! The PTR family is extremely proud of you!
Monday, January 28 VanDyke Headed to the "40 Acres" In Fall 2008 PTR and Connally High School senior Amanda VanDyke has signed and will compete with the University of Texas track and field team, beginning in the fall of 2008. VanDyke was a double-medal winner at the UIL state track and field meet last spring, earning gold in the Class 4A shot put and bronze in the discus. VanDyke also has been a key member of Connally's basketball team the past three seasons. Amanda is one of the core PTR players of the PTR 17U team who began with PTR as a fifth grader. Amanda, job well done! It shows that PTR players are multi-talented in several sports, but more importantly are academically strong in the classroom. We are extremely proud of you and wish you the best at the "40 Acres."
Wednesday, November 14 Schera Sampson and Amina Sawyer Signed Letter of Intent to Attend Stephen F. Austin in the Fall. Schera Sampson and Amina Sawyer have played basketball with PTR since age 11. Now the two will continue as teammates as both have signed National Letter of Intents to play basketball for the next four years for the Lady Lumberjacks at Stephen F. Austin University in Nagadoches, Texas. Sampson, a senior at Round Rock McNeil High School and Sawyer, a senior at Pflugerville High School inked their letters on November 14th. Both players are very excited and relieved the recruiting process is over. Now the duo can concentrate on leading their respective high school teams to the state basketball playoffs. PTR is proud of the accomplishments of Ms. Sampson and Ms. Sawyer. The PTR family wishes them the best as future Lady Lumberjacks.
