"Major Thomas E. Kennedy Memorial Rink"

Our nation suffered a terrible loss when one of its true heroes was killed in Afghanistan on August 8, 2012. US Army Major Thomas Kennedy, who grew up in New City, was a former Saint, a Don Bosco player, and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He was taken from us too soon by a suicide bomber. Affectionately called TK by his loved ones, he left behind a legacy of pride, love and sacrifice to his country. His love for his country, his family and the sport of hockey was endless. Major Thomas Kennedy leaves a legacy behind that every individual who puts on a Saints jersey should learn about. Saints, both former and current, have risen to great heights with the sport of hockey and beyond it. However, Major Thomas Kennedy was unique in the fact that he went above and beyond to become an American Hero. Recently we lost our hero, but we will never forget you TK.

Please keep Thomas and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers. He left behind a wife, Kami and 2 year old twins, Brody and Maggie. He also leaves behind brothers George and John as well as his parents George and Pat.  His entire family spent many years as vital parts of the Saints organization. Our support, thoughts and prayers are extended to everyone who has been impacted by this tragic loss of a hero.
