Thursday, July 10th

8:00 PM – Coach’s Meeting, Echo Minor Field House

Friday, July 11th

8:00 AM – Games begin, Diamond 1-4

10:00 AM – Games continue

12:00 PM – Opening Ceremonies at Diamond # 1

2:00 PM – Games continue

4:00 PM – Games continue

5:00 – 6:15 PM – Dinner for players and coaches

6:30 PM – Skills competition on Diamond # 1

Saturday, July, 12th

8:00 AM – Games begin

10:00 AM – Games continue

12:00 PM – Games continue

2:00 PM – Final Modified Round Robin games

4:30 PM – Double knockout begins

6:30 PM – Double knockout continues

Sunday, July 13th

8:30 AM – Games begin

10:30 AM – Games continue

12:30 PM – Bronze Medal Game – Presentation to follow Game

2:30 PM – Championship Game

4:30 PM – If necessary game, if needed

Closing Ceremony and Presentations to follow Final Game

 

Some of the highlights, besides the games, will be a dinner for the players and coaches on Friday evening, followed by the Skills Competition.

 

The menu for the dinner is:

 

Water/Juice

Buns/Butter

Fruit and Veggie platter

Caesar Salad

Potato Salad

Pasta Salad

Broccoli and Grape salad

Teriyaki Chicken

Lasagna

Dessert - Trifle, squares, pies

 

There is no charge to the players and coaches for the dinner. We will provide 16 tickets per team. If parents, fans, etc. wish to partake of the meal they can get tickets for $12 per person. Order them through this email, by Saturday, July 5 and pay on Thursday night – cash please – at the coach’s meeting. The dinner will be held at the Echo Fieldhouse and will be a buffet style.

 

For other meals, Boston Pizza is a sponsor for the tournament and they will be happy to accommodate your team. Information is provided below:

The Alberni Valley Minor Softball Association is also blessed with a fabulous concession stand that serves a variety of ball park foods and then some. In my estimation they serve the best hamburgers in the city.
