Opening Ceremony - Chanhassen High School Stadium 7/30/2015

2:05pm: Teams line up by right field gate.

2:20pm: “America the Beautiful” performed by Kelsey Peterjohn

2:25pm: Welcome & team introductions- Dick Jonckowski

2:31pm: Chanhassen Mayor Denny Laufenburger “Welcome”

2:34pm: Introduction, ceremonial first pitch by Dick Mingo. Bio

2:38pm: Reciting of Legion Sportsmanship Code- Mike Perry

2:41pm: Presentation of Colors by Post 580 Color Guard

2:47pm: National Anthem performed by Kelsey Petterjohn

2:50pm: T-6 Thunder, 8 minute air show

3:00pm: Closing statement

3:30pm: Start “Around the Horn” competition*

4:20pm: Announcement and award presentation for “Around the Horn” 1^st and 2^nd place teams.  

4:35- 5:00pm: Coaches meeting in the “Forum” inside Chanhassen High School. Coaches and officials will be given transportation via golf carts from stadium to school.

• Official Scorekeepers meeting in Stadium Grandstands by press box.
• Teams depart Stadium and prepare for Banquet. Players that need to shower or change for banquet are able to use Men’s athletic locker room in basement of high school (signage will direct players)

6:00-6:30pm: Reception/social time

6:30-7:00pm All seated; Invocation, dinner served. Dick Jonckowski “Master of Ceremonies”

7:10pm: Move to Theatre for presentation ceremony. Teams will be assigned seating rows to help ensure timely seating

7:15pm: Introductions and presentations by State Legion Board (Mike Perry)

7:45pm: Introduction of Patrick Ruesse by Dick Jonckowski.

8:20pm: Closing comments
