Sport is a war;it is a battle to overcome your opponents. Think about the person you would most like to have next to you in a fight. That person would have the confidence and desire of a warrior ready to defend life to the end, both yours and theres. You need to be that person. A person so mentally tough that nothing will keep you form losing. Just like any skill, mental toughness is an element we must train daily. If we haven't practiced a skill we cannot perform in competition. Therfore we MUST apply mental toughness to all our training excerises. We can train mental toughness by focusing on breaking down barriers in training excerises. Always try to get the next rep, finishing drills beyond the finishing point. You must be able to find a way to reach deep inside and focus your energy for maximum control in every aspect of performance. |
