WTF TWO TIES AND A BLOWN CALL!!!!

Coming off an amazing tournament run, expectations were low that the team would be able to keep the high level of play going. Despite a slow start in game 1, the team was able to fight back and earn a hard fought 7-7 draw. In game 2, the team again started slow as their focus was more on collecting their prizes from the weekend and coming up with player nicknames. After falling behind, the team again came back to tie the encounter and in fact should have won the game if it was not for an obvious blown call by the umpire. On a simple play at the plate where the opposition's catcher dropped the ball, the umpire somehow called the runner out. Are We Mercied Yet??? went on to lose in extra innings but all the talk following the game was about the blown call. When asked to comment about the incident, several of Trish's personalities had this to say:

The team returns this Wednesday where they will try to overcome the poor production of Chris Pullen and return to the win column.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES???? This weekend, the stars aligned and everything in the Universe was at peace as AWMY put together 6 straight wins to claim their first ever A-side tournament victory. Despite the incredible accomplishment, the team was rather quiet following a tense 9-8 victory in the Final where the team gave up 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth. GM Trethart stated after the game, "I think we are still stunned that we actually did it. Everyone played amazing.". Pitcher Larry Eloy was a machine throughout the weekend but perhaps his best play was knowing when to pull himself in the final. Timely hitting and solid defense were the keys for the team. The performance of rookie, Kelly Kowalchuk had all fans of the team whispering "Pullen Who?" Considering that LF Chris Pullen again struggled throughout most of the weekend and that team MVP went down to injury on Saturday, the accomplish of this win will go down as the greatest moment in team history.

The Good, The Bad and The Bat Catcher returned to action this Wednesday following a long winter break. The team under went massive changes this off-season. The team has changed their name and will now be called ARE WE MERCIED YET??? (AWMY). The change came about due to the team's performance and the fact that the team will be receiving new uniforms from Royal Sports. GM Trethart was also busy fixing the on-field product.  Four new players join the squad and will be looking to have an immediate impact.  Kelly Kowalchuk adds speed while Kevin Waytiuk brings homerun power to the lineup. Two new females have also been added the roster. Rebecca McKie and Kim Lawrence add options to Trethart's in-field. Lawrence also has become the team's official singer of the National Anthem.

The season started like most games in previous years with Ryan Shymko being shelled on the mound as the team fell 11-2 in the opening game of the year. Game 2 of the evening was a slight improvement, as the team rallied for a hard fought 6-5 win. The team hopes to have some solid performance this upcoming weekend as they take part in the LMSA May tournament.
