Shelby suggested a Geek of the Week page, so I am going to try it.
Ok, this "week's" geek could be more accurately called a nerd, but, nonetheless, it is:
Marilyn vos Savant- The smartest person alive! (By IQ tests) Her IQ is 228! Holy Mackerel!

This page should be retitled "geek of the every once in a while". I found this guy by clicking the random article button on wikipedia like 10 times!
5. Pierre Nicolas Le Chéron d'Incarville- (1706-1757) French Jesuit and amateur botanist. He was a missionary to China and was the first person to introduce several important plants to the West. During his stay he was also actively involved in publishing scholarly material on China. He was also the first European to describe the kiwi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Nicolas_d%27Incarville
#4:
Eratosthenes
This not-as-well known Greek measured the circumference of the earth with a stick and some sunshine, and was pretty dang close, only off by 100 miles! He also came up with a way for identifying prime numbers!

Week 3:
Nikola Tesla
Nikola Tesla was the guy who make electricity practical by coming up with the alternating current. Definatly a HUGE contributor to society!

Week 2:
Thomas R. Schuttish
Mr. Schuttish is general tax counsel for Chevron Corporation. He must be crazy good at math!

The first geek of the week is:
Dr. Martin Cooper
Dr. Cooper is known for inventing the cell phone back in 1973. I know many people that would sh!t a chicken if they didn't have their phone. A link to information about him is here:
