Winter Skills & Drills Workouts

Open gym workouts for all girls grades 3-8.  All players will need to bring $5 per session to help with gym cost.  We will have grades 3-5 from 3pm-4:30pm and grades 6-8 from 4:30pm-6pm on the following dates at Competitive Sports Properties 645 Corporate Circle, Salisbury:

Tournament Rules:

 

*All games are halfcourt games. With ball needing to be cleared behind 3pt line after defensive rebounds or steals inside the 3pt line.

*Home team is listed first on schedule and must wear white or light color jersey/shirt and provide game ball.  Away team must wear dark jersey/shirt.  Numbers are not required on jersey/shirt.

*Games will be played with a regulation girls 28.5 basketball

*All games are two 15 minute halves with running clock. With a 3 minute warm up and 3 minute halftime.

*If tied at end of regulation each team will recieve a offensive possession in an untimed overtime. If teams are tied after first overtime we will continue overtimes until winner is declared.

*Rosters are limited to 6 players.  3 starters and 3 reserves.

*Team Benches are located behind baselines.

*Coaches can sub up to 3 players at a time on deadballs or timeouts.

*Each team will have 2 full timeouts per half that DO NOT carry over.

*Games will begin with a jump ball at the freethrow circle.

*Scoring is recoreded as normal.  2pt and 3pt field goals as well as freethrows

*Players will shoot freethrows on shooting fouls.

*Possessions will alternate after made baskets.

*After turnovers ,non-shooting fouls and made baskets play will restart at the halfcourt circle on the Official's whistle

*There are NO foul outs and NO 1 and 1 penalty.  Team and player fouls will not be recorded.

*Technical Fouls result in 3pts awarded to the other team and possession of the basketball.

*If a coach, player or spectator recieves 2 technical fouls or is ejected that individual must leave the court for the remainder of the game.  The individual will be able to continue tournament after game.  If the individual recieves a 2nd ejection they are disqualified for the remainder of the tournament and must leave the facility.
