Coach Brewer

In July of 2014, Coach Brewer was named head baseball coach for the Rockdale Bulldogs. This is Coach Brewer's first varsity head coaching job. Coach Brewer has extensive coaching experience with six years as assistant coach at Elbert County high school, one year at Franklin County high school, and one year at Eagles Landing Christian Academy totaling eight years of experience. Coach Brewer was an assistant coach at Elbert County during its first 20 win season in school history and also coached the winningest team in Elbert County history during his tenure. At Elbert County, Coach Brewer was part of the coaching staff that lost twice in consecutive years to eventual state champion Cartersville in the GHSA AAA playoffs. At Franklin County, Coach Brewer was part of the coaching staff that led his team to a 19-7 record and would eventually lose to Columbus in the GHSA AAA playoffs. The same team that won the Little League World Series. Coach Brewer would move on to Eagles Landing Christian Academy where he was part of a very successful coaching staff in McDonough, Georgia. At ELCA, Coach Brewer was a member of the coaching staff that led the ELCA softball team to a region championship and an eventual state championship in Columbus. Later in the year, the baseball team would win the region championship, but lose a heartbreaking series to King's Ridge in the final four. As a head coach, Coach Brewer led the 2010 Elbert County Senior League to its first ever State Championship with a win over Madison County in Habersham. The Senior League squad would travel to Viera Beach, Florida where it would finish 3rd place in the Southeastern Regional. Coach Brewer was also head coach of the AAMBL Brewers out of Athens, Georgia, winning a league title with a baseball team full of former/current college baseball players.

 

Ronnie Miller

Grew up on the mean streets of MILSTEAD in Rockdale. After high school became a member of the Worlds Finest USMC. Honorable discharge. Played baseball, Rugby and was a competitive shooter while serving. Degree in education from UGA. Coached basketball, softball,and baseball for the last four years. Married to Nicole Miller for 18 years. I Have two daughters, Savanna and Samantha Miller. Currently teaching 8th grade Social Studies at Memorial Middle School.

4 year letter-winner at East Rockaway High School, NY.  2-time All County Selection.  Pitched at the Division I level at Hofstra University for 2 seasons primarily as a Relief Pitcher.  This is my 3^rd year on the RCHS Baseball Staff and I will work mostly with the Pitchers.   This year I became the Digital Learning Specialist at Hightower Trail Elementary, and previously taught 8^th Grade Georgia Studies at Conyers Middle School.  I am looking forward to surprising some people in our region this year with our young, energetic, and mentally tough teams.

Jesse Smith

Coach Smith has been a member of the Rockdale County High School coaching staff for two years. Smith graduated from Rockdale County High School in 2007 where he was a member of the baseball team where he pitched and played catcher. He went on to attend the University of Georgia where he was a member of the UGA Club Baseball Team. Last year, Smith taught at the Rockdale Magnet School and has moved over to the Rockdale Career Academy where he teaches Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering.
