Hello Parents.
 
As the RCBA is a volunteer organization, we have need of your help.  There are a number of jobs which need to be done, and they can only be done by you.
 
1.   When we are the home team, we need to do field prep.  This involves raking the base lines, chalking the first and 3rd base foul line as well as the batters box.  Placing the bases in their appropriate slots.
 
2.   When we are the visiting team, and playing another Richmond team, we will be responsible for razing the field.  This involves removing the bases, raking the baselines and storing the equipment in the appropriate bins.
 
3.    Score keeping.  We require a score keeper for every game.   This is actually a fun job, and gives you a new perspective on the game (its easy once you get the hang of it).
 
4.    Pitch count.   This is a very important job.  Pitcher have specific numbers of pitches they are allowed each game, under BC Minor Rules.  We need someone to track the pitches of all our teams pitchers as well as the opposing team's pitchers.  I have forms, and all that is required is ticking boxes. 
 
5.    Concession.   We have to run the concession when we are the home team.   We have the opportunity to "opt out" of concession duties.  However, this requires a contribution of $40 per player.   And it has to be a 100% consensus. 

There are other duties which come up thru the season.   These will be discussed as the needs arise.
