W Black Sox-18 VS. Convicts-2 (August 17th)

Sox win thier first Play-Off game in history in destructive fasion, with a 18-2 blow out. Every body contributed with all the Sox scoring at least once. The Offensive onslaught was lead by Geoff Gaynor who pounded his team leading 5th home run a 3R HR and going 2-3. Mike Campo raised his AVG to 700% by going 3-3 with a Double. The MVP was a tight decision between Geoff Gaynor and Eric Simpson, but ended up going to Eric. Eric threw 3innings and made 8 out of 9 outs 7 were K's, allowing 1H and no runs.

W Black Sox-9 VS. Dodgers-0 (August 3rd)

Dodgers call 15 minutes before start time to announce that they will not be able to field a team. Black Sox take a win from a Dodgers via forfeit. We took the time to practice for the play-offs with a quality infield out field, and braking into teams of two and facing our own pitchers. Team 1 George and Geoff ended their two innings scoring 0 off Eric Simpson. Team 2 of Joe Stratton and Jay (player form the dodgers) Scored 3 runs lead by a 2R Homerun from Jay off Eric. Team 3 of Mike Campo and Lew combined to score 1 run off Adam Brown. Team 4 Adam Brown and Jason G score 3 couldve scored 4 after contriversal call on an FC to the infield, off Joe Stratton. Team 5 Eric and Jake score 2 off Mike Campo, with Geoff coming in to get the final two outs. So the final break down is.
Team 1 George, Geoff- 0
Team 2 Joe S, Jay- 3
Team 3 Mike C, Lew- 1
Team 4 Adam, Jason- 3
Team 5 Eric, Jake- 2

L Black Sox-6 VS. Legacy-9 (July 27th)

Another loss in the Black Sox record books, due to untimely errors. Pitching did good, and hitting was great as usual, but routine errors kept Legacy batting and we ran out of at bats to make up the differance. The highlights of the day were Geoff Gaynor having another 2HR game going 2-2, and pulling off a hidden ball trick with Adam Brown to get out of a bases loaded inning. Adam Brown was 1-3 with a 2run HR and pithced 5IN giving up 6runs 3 earned. Mike Campo hits another HR going 2-3 and is now tied with Geoff Gaynor with 4HR on the season. Anthoney Ioconanni was 1-3 with a double. George Vaughan was 1-2. With another game against Legacy next week hopefully we can right the ship and stay above 500%....

L Gamblers-24 VS. Black Sox-5 (July 20th)

Black Sox get blown out tonight, by a good gamblers team. The game should have been closer but we beat our selves. Pitching did good only giving up a few hard hits, the rest were broken bat singles or errors. Gamblers must have had at least six bats broken by the Black Sox pitchers. Bloop hits and errors put us in whole that we couldnt get out of. On the offensive side we had a slight power outage at the plate but there was a bright light in the third inning scoring five from a 2 RBI single by Adam Brown, and a team leading third homerun by Mike Campo with 3 RBI's. George V was 1-2 with a run scored, Jake B was 0-1 with a BB and run scored.

W Black Sox-12 VS. Halos-10 (July 13th)

Black Sox came together and never got down and had a great third inning to defeat the Halos! With another great win we are looking to be a power house in the "Rookie" league. Geoff had a spectacular game hitting 2HR in the same inning a rare rare feat! Joe Stratton gets his first win as intern coach of the Black Sox and is now 1-0-1 at the helm. Mike Campo was 2-3 with a double and hitting his second home run of the season. Damien Sisto was 2-2 with 2HBP and 3RBI. George Vaughan got his first Win of the season pitching in Relif and giving the Sox a chance to rally back, and was also 1-3 at the plate. Another win in the books lets keep it up guys!

W Black Sox-15 VS. Zone-5 (June 29nd)

All around great game today guys. Offense, Defense and pitching. Every one contributed today in this win. Joe Stratton threw 4 2/3 strong innings almost getting the shut, but got squeezed in the fifth. Joe Campo came in and shut Zone down facing 5 batters striking out 3 also going 3-4 at the plate. On the offensive side of things we hit the ball great with 3 Home combined for the day. Adam Brown was 2-4 hitting his 2nd HR of the season. Mike Campo was a double away from the cycle going 3-4 with a triple and his first HR, and stole home. George Vaughn was 1-2 with 2BB and his first HR of the season. Other notable on the the offensive side Joe S was 2-3, Lew 1-2, Jamesyn 2-2, Geoff 2-4, Eric 1-1 2BB. Good Game Guys!

L Dodgers-12 VS. Black Sox-9 (June 22nd)

Black Sox looked good in the beginning and the end of the game, but in between we fell apart. Starting off strong in the first inning we put up 5 runs taking a 4 run lead which slowly diminshed. Black Sox had a chance in the bottom of the sixth with bases loaded but couldnt capitialize. Facing the undefeated Dodgers we had the game and blew it. Hitting and Pitching were there we just need to work on our Defense. We are a solid team dont get down on your selves alot more games are left to played. The good news is that if thats the best team in the league as of now, we are in no trouble.

W Black Sox-24 VS. Halos-8 (June 15th)

Black Sox come out of the shoot hitting the ball hard scoring 10 runs in the first inning. With putting 10 up on the board in the first you would figure that the scoring would slow........ WRONG! Behind another strong pitching performance by Joe Stratton Black Sox blow out the halos 24-8. John Kapu and Adam Brown both homered in the game combining for half of the teams RBIS (13). With so much offense these highlights would fill the page. Lou and Geoff both went 2-3. George and Jamesyn both went 2-4.  Mike Campo and Mike Anderson were 2-2 With Mike Anderson leading the team with 4 runs scored. Jake Brown with 4 Plate apperances drew 3 walks and 1 HBP.

T Black Sox-12 V.S Zone-12 (June 8th)

Black Sox rally back in the 5th behind a strong performance by Joe Stratton on the mound! George comes up big with 2 outs hitting a 3 run double that gave the the Sox life. Danny Schneider had a good game at the plate going 2-3 with a double. Geoff Gaynor had a game saving double play in 5th.

Black Sox V.S BombSquad (June 1st)

The much anticipated season opener turned out to be a wait at the park, which turned into a scrimmage game. With a 3 inning loss 8-0. Which is no problem it was a good chance to see what we got. No stats will be entered from this game but here are some of the highlights. The Schneider brothers combined to go 2-3 on the day. Getting on base was no problem base running was : (.Mike Anderson was solid at 3 hole going 1-2. Also coming into relief and stopped the bleading facing 2 batters and getting a double play to end the inning.Mike Campo had 2 solid shots into left field and went 1-2 with a double. Adam Brown going 1-2 and coming into relief faced 8 batters striking out 5 with no runs in 2 innings relief.
