2011 KENNEDY FOOTBALL WELCOMES YOU

As we approach the upcoming season and prepare to lead the Kennedy Commanders to a new era of High School Football. It is important to understand the rich history Kennedy football has and the importance of building a program that will take our student athletes to the next level. The foundation that has been established and the traditions that are in need of being restored to the Commander community are vital to the success of THE PROGRAM.

• Development of the sense of pride of being a Commander, student athletes given the tools to understand how they represent their school, community and their family.
• The development of outreach to the feeder schools and implementation of building the sense of pride for our children in the community. Promoting the essences of self worth, integrity, discipline and commitment. The making of our children from our community of wanting to attend John F. Kennedy High School.
• The building of a stronger foundation that incorporates youth programs throughout the Commander Community. These relationships are the sole foundation of our children wanting to be part of something special at John F. Kennedy High School.
• Incorporation of family involvement to encourage and promote the safety, stability, commitment and guidance of our children.
• Collaboration with school faculty, line staff and administration and other service providers in the community. Utilizing these relationships as tools to increase accountability, self-worth and commitment by our student athletes.
• Provide a program that will allow our student athletes to excel academically within the program. Making it an expectation that all students in the program go on to the next level and utilize their experience to obtain the opportunity to be accepted into college and ultimately further their education.
• Promote a stable instructional program that will allow coaches to excel and have the opportunity to train, support and develop student athletes of the program. Both academically and athletically.
• Finally, restore the rich traditions that have been lost and the development of a stronger foundation that will ultimately separate John F. Kennedy High School from other Public schools.

 

 The Commander football staff is committed to making the program rich in tradition once again, we will set the expectation of each student athlete to experience “The Next Level”, we will  incorporate the involvement of families, strengthen the involvement of the community and faculty. We will build a program that strengthens the community and is served as a foundation for all athletics at John F. Kennedy High School.

 Establishing PRIDE, DISCIPLINE, SELF-WORTH, COMMITMENT and the expectation of STUDENT FIRST will be our focus…
